Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is a non-invasive, non-manipulative modality based in the principles of anatomy, physiology and osteopathy. It is a non-doing approach. For me, the practice is about loving presence, respect and recognition of the wholeness of each person and meeting them with moment to moment awareness.

Working biodynamically means to not apply any external force to the system. This means physical force or manipulation as well as mental or energetic force. There is no trying to fix someone and I’m not working with an agenda. I’m not doing anything to the system to make a change but I am doing a lot of things to support the innate capacity in each person – the breath of life – to make a change. I work with heartfelt awareness and a sense of curiosity.

I believe we all have an innate force of self healing within us and I use my skills of perception to be with that potency. In meeting that force with respect, wisdom and love something magical happens. There is alchemy in this meeting, in this being seen and heard and felt, that allows for transformation.

In my study of BCST I have learned about trauma resolution and energy dynamics of the body. I have done many hours of practice giving and receiving the work which has honed my skills as a practitioner and developed my perceptions and sensitivities to this subtle and very profound modality. In my practice of this work it is my hope that the person on the table can feel more aware of themselves on all levels and to develop a working sense of the resources that are available to them in their bodies and in their lives at all times.

Many people experience a state of deep relaxation and restfulness during a session. In this space one’s inherent healing can be ignited to transform chronic and acute illnesses and injuries into a state of health; where stress can be alleviated and shift into a state of peace and equanimity. We are all self-healing. BCST is appropriate for all health conditions, shapes, sizes and ages.
